Unseen, unheard, untold, and kaleidoscope
Kya Basile
Unseen, unheard, and untold.
Unseen.
Sometimes I feel unseen.
Unseen because I will say what I mean
I even Say what I feel
I'll even peal back my skin and show you how I feel
And I'll Say what I need
And yet when I ask them to repeat what I said
It's as if they looked at me in a funhouse mirror
As if my words were passed through a game of telephone
Unheard
It's almost as if I'm Unheard
Unheard because no word is heard properly.
No word is understood fully
No word is heard based on what the feeling were behind it
No word is understood and heard the way it was meant
Sometimes to the point were I feel I've been bent
So I get quiet
I stop talking in hopes my silence will fix my warped mess
Untold
Untold because I was unseen
Untold because I was unheard
Untold because I was never understood
But starting to have things stay untold only leads to more being misunderstood.
More being looked at through a kaleidoscope
Eventually your silence is the reason you're unseen, unheard, and untold.
Eventually your putting your own picture and words into the kaleidoscope
Eventually you'll only have your self to blame
So never stop talking
Never stop trying to express yourself
Never stop trying
Trying To be heard
To be seen
To be understood
To be listened to
Never stop trying
Never stop so you don't get seen through a kaleidoscope.
