Girl in the window

I was in my room: locked up in the dark with blinds open looking out like an emotion of a person visualizing reality. A warm lamp with a lampshade made of glass dragonflies radiates its yellow tint in a manner similar to a ripple effect- a small epicenter which spreads its energy from one particle to another in form of waves. The dark walls with yellow tint combine to for a my comfort: a cozy bed, multiple pillows and isolation. my mind soothes with the highs and lows of the sweet melody playing which goes almost unnoticed because of a bright red car racing access the neighborhood.

The bright red car rolled across in a hurry, but people inside display the contrary. Their big pearly smiles, rap music and contagious laughter almost makes me want to peek through the window. Inside, I saw a girl, happy; surrounded by her group. She was active, extroverted but something which might go unobserved because of speed- it was her insecurity.

I got out and ran to The car to find it empty, only to realize the girl in the car was known but unrecognized. Her soft hair open as breeze grazed her spilt ends, her eyes squinting in happiness yet display a tinge of deprivation. "Deprived of what?" I asked while inspecting the red car. I sat in the driver's seat, my hands on the wheel when I got the thrill to push the accelerator with a song upbeat. I drive past collecting friends from their houses , all ecstatic and smiling. But she, had a sliver of insecurity peek her emotions. The thought of not belonging rushed through her veins. I decided to keep driving despite my sudden need for isolation, I was overwhelmed, claimed to be dumb enough to try again until I notice a small yellow window with girl glancing at me like the cat who died of curiosity.
